The brass band BORŠIČANKA was establish in 1968 by a group of young musicians at the head of excellent bugle(horn) player František Ďurník. After a short time a member of state philharmonic in Zlín Josef Řepa became a conductor of the brass band. He also started to compose his own songs and soon a well-known polka "Boršičanka" came to light. This song became very favourite among brass music lovers not only in the country but also abroad.

The brass band gradually got popular, particularly with the first abroad tours (1972) and recording in broadcasting and TV studios. In 1983 the generation problem took place and a new young musicians, mostly old boys of music school in Uherské Hradiště, came in the ensemble. In the following years the brass band performed in many concerts and appearances all over the country and also abroad - in Germany, Austria and France. In recent time the first CD - "Vitajte u nás" was recorded. This CD is devoted to all friends and fans of good Moravian brass music.
